Undergraduate Academic Proficiency Test for Studying in China (CSCA)

Selection will be conducted on a competitive basis according to CSCA examination results.

Applicants applying to relevant departments of the Faculty of Science, School of Information Science and Technology, and College of Engineering must, in addition to Chinese (Science stream) and Mathematics, take at least one subject from Physics or Chemistry.

Applicants applying to other schools must take Chinese (Arts stream) and Mathematics.

All of the above examinations must be taken using Chinese-language test papers.

Republic of Korea

College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT)

The three core subjects of Mathematics, English, and Korean Language must all be graded at Level 1; other subjects must be graded at Level 1 or Level 2.

High school academic transcripts must also be submitted.

For internal high school assessments, grades must be no lower than Level 2 under the 9-level grading system, and no lower than Level 1 under the 5-level grading system.

The courses taken must be relevant to the intended major.

Results in at least three H2 subjects must be no lower than ABB.

H1 Chinese at the A-Level must be Grade A or above.

2.Applicants using Polytechnic Diploma results: GPA ≥ 3.80.

Excluding Life Orientation, the best five NSC subjects are considered, among which three subjects must reach Level 7 and two subjects must reach Level 6 or above.

Applicants applying to relevant departments of the Faculty of Science, School of Information Science and Technology, College of Engineering, and School of Economics and Management must have four subjects at Level 7 and one subject at Level 6 or above, and must include Mathematics and one subject relevant to the intended major.

DBE NSC

Excluding Life Orientation, the best five NSC subjects are considered, among which three subjects must reach Level 7 and two subjects must reach Level 6 or above.

NBTs test results are also required: at least two components must achieve a “Proficient” rating, and the remaining one must achieve “Intermediate” or above.

Applicants applying to relevant departments of the Faculty of Science, School of Information Science and Technology, College of Engineering, and School of Economics and Management must have one subject at Level 6 or above, and must include Mathematics and one subject relevant to the intended major.
