The Chinese Government Scholarship for Advanced Graduate Program is an award for international students with outstanding academic backgrounds, professional abilities, and great potential for future advancement. The merit-based award process combines reviews of individual applications and institutional recommendations.
I. Scope of the Scholarship
Full or partial tuition waiver, living stipend, housing, and medical insurance.
II. Scholarship Duration
Master degree candidates: 2 – 3 years
Doctoral degree candidates: 4 – 5 years
III. Eligibility: The applicant
1. Must satisfy all pertinent requirements for admission as an international student of Peking University;
2. Must have submitted an application for a self-funded, full-time graduate program as an international student of Peking University;
3. Has not received any other scholarship from the Chinese government or Peking University (with the exception of one-time non-renewable merit awards).
4. Should not be a candidate in a joint training program .
IV. Application Time
Generally in March and April each year.

1. Complete and submit a timely online scholarship application with Peking University, see http://www.studyatpku.com, in accordance with the PKU Scholarship Application Notice for International Graduate Students;
2. Complete and submit a timely online scholarship application with the China Scholarship Council, see http://www.campuschina.org, in accordance to the aforementioned Notice.
VI. Annual Review
Scholarship is renewable on an annual basis provided scholarship recipients have participated in and passed the annual scholarship review.
